[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Mirae Asset Life Insurance announced on the 12th that it has launched the 'Online Well-Chosen Male Mini Cancer Insurance,' which guarantees 10 million KRW for the five major male cancers with a monthly premium of 250 KRW for a 30-year-old male. This is the lowest level in the domestic market for single insurance policies.
The insurance covers stomach cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, and liver cancer, which have high incidence rates in men, with a coverage amount of 10 million KRW. The eligible age for subscription is from 20 to 50 years old. It is a male-specialized product that selects only the essential benefits for diseases with high incidence rates, offering affordable premiums to enhance cost-effectiveness.
It is possible to subscribe additionally even if the customer is already enrolled in cancer insurance from Mirae Asset Life Insurance or other insurance companies.
Last October, Mirae Asset Life Insurance launched the 'Online Well-Chosen Female Mini Cancer Insurance,' which covers the three major female cancers with a monthly premium of 950 KRW. It has been very popular, with about 400 subscriptions per month.
Accordingly, Mirae Asset Life Insurance now has a portfolio of mini cancer insurance products for both men and women.
Oh Eun-sang, Head of Product Development at Mirae Asset Life Insurance, said, "This is a pinpoint product that reflects cancer incidence trends by specifically covering male cancers with high incidence rates. We will continue to launch cost-effective mini products that allow customers to affordably prepare for essential diseases."
