[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 28th that its 'KB Good Job' received the grand prize in the social contribution brand category for the ninth consecutive year at the '2020 Korea Top Awards' ceremony.
Co-hosted by the Korea Journalists Association and the Service Marketing Society, the '2020 Korea Top Awards' annually select and award the best brands in South Korea by categorizing the values pursued by brands in each field.
'KB Good Job,' KB Kookmin Bank's representative social contribution project, is a job connection initiative launched in 2011 to activate youth employment and alleviate recruitment difficulties for small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies. Since its launch, it has successfully held 16 on-site job fairs and contributed to job creation and the spread of employment atmosphere by providing differentiated job information through the operation of the KB Good Job website.
Additionally, various employment education programs such as the 'KB Good Job Employment Academy' and 'High Five KB Good Job Employment School' are operated targeting vocational high school students, university students, and discharged (or soon-to-be discharged) soldiers, striving to strengthen the employment capabilities of young job seekers.
Along with this, benefits such as the 'KB Good Job Interest Rate Preferential Program,' which offers up to a 1.3%p preferential interest rate when applying for new loans to companies participating in the 'KB Good Job Job Fair,' and the 'KB Good Job Hiring Support Fund,' which provides 1 million KRW per person (up to 10 million KRW per company) to companies hiring regular employees through the KB Good Job Job Fair, are provided to actively reduce financial costs and labor expenses.
KB Kookmin Bank explained that as a result of these various efforts, 'KB Good Job' has provided over 60,000 job information listings and connected more than 16,000 jobs by the end of March this year, achieving great results and firmly establishing itself as South Korea's representative social contribution brand.
