Tokyo Metropolis announced on the 26th that 72 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed. This is the first time in 13 days since the 13th (91 cases) that the number of new daily cases in Tokyo has fallen below 100. With this, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Tokyo area has reached 3,908.

Since the state of emergency was declared on the 7th in response to the spread of COVID-19, the Tokyo area has recorded more than 100 new cases daily for 12 consecutive days from the 14th to the 25th.
