[Asia Economy (Uijeongbu) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will support non-face-to-face export marketing using local online platforms to expand exports of local companies participating in the Small and Medium Enterprise Excellent Product Exhibition (G-Fair) to be held in Mumbai, India, this November.
The province announced on the 26th that starting next month, it will create a G-Fair participant company introduction section on the B2B e-commerce online platform operating locally in Mumbai to pre-promote products to be showcased at the G-Fair event to local buyers.
The province plans to consult with the platform operator to equip the platform with functions that allow buyers to check products and make immediate purchases.
Along with this, an official online site where the schedule of this year's G-Fair event and information on participating companies' products can be checked at a glance will also be operated starting next month.
Kim Gyu-sik, Director of Economic Planning at the province, emphasized, "Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is difficult to promote products by visiting buyers directly," adding, "We will continuously discover areas where non-face-to-face and contactless marketing through online means is possible to provide practical help to companies."
This year's 19th G-Fair will be held in Mumbai from November 24 to 25. So far, more than 60 local companies have expressed their intention to participate, and the province plans to recruit additional participating companies in June.
