[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Emart24 will sell a limited quantity of 300 two-week subscription passes for Minsaeng Coffee at a shocking 50% discount off the regular price through its mobile app starting on the 28th.

Emart24 introduced the Minsaeng Coffee subscription pass to allow customers to purchase everyday convenience store items at reasonable prices.

Minsaeng Coffee is a 500ml large-sized coffee beverage based on the concepts of cost-effectiveness and availability, consisting of two types: Minsaeng Sseun Coffee (Americano) and Minsaeng Dan Coffee (Cafe Latte). Since its launch in October last year, it has sold over 1.1 million units as of April, making it Emart24’s representative PL (private label) product.

The subscription pass can be purchased for 8,400 KRW from 2 PM on the 28th via the ‘24Con’ menu on the Emart24 mobile app. However, only one type of Minsaeng Coffee subscription pass can be purchased per mobile app ID, and transfer to others is not allowed.

The subscription pass is valid from the 28th of this month until the 11th of next month. Customers can visit any Emart24 store nationwide and exchange the daily barcode on the subscription pass for one Minsaeng Coffee per day.

Lee Dong-ho, head of Emart24’s Strategic Marketing Team, said, “We plan to expand the types of subscription passes to include products with high purchase frequency such as bottled water and small-packaged fruits in the future.”
