A Samsung Electronics model is introducing the new Samsung dishwasher, optimized for Korean dietary habits with performance, hygiene, and user convenience, at the Suwon Samsung Electronics Digital City Premium House.
원본보기 아이콘[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Samsung Electronics announced that it will launch a new dishwasher model optimized for the eating habits of Koreans, featuring enhanced performance, hygiene, and ease of use, on the 26th.
Samsung Electronics is introducing not only the popular slim-designed 8-place setting model released last year but also a new 12-place setting capacity. The 8-place model is suitable for 2-3 person households, while the 12-place model fits 3-5 person households.
Samsung dishwashers are characterized by powerful ‘3D water jets’ and ‘high-temperature direct water washing’ that deliver stronger and more hygienic performance. This product is equipped with 4 washing arms that create powerful 3D water jets.
The two washing arms located at the bottom rotate 360 degrees in opposite directions, generating strong water jets that thoroughly clean heavily soiled or concave dishes. The wide washing arm at the top and the streamlined washing arm in the middle spread the water jets over a wider area to wash every corner without blind spots.
Samsung dishwashers use a direct water supply system that provides fresh water for each wash instead of water stored in a reservoir, ensuring hygiene.
In particular, the use of high-temperature water at 75 degrees Celsius offers excellent sterilization performance. Selecting the ‘Sterilization Wash’ option removes up to 99.999% of harmful bacteria such as E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria, and viruses including rotavirus, norovirus, and hepatitis A virus.
The ‘Internal Cleaning’ course allows for tub cleaning that removes harmful bacteria and viruses without detergent. The harmful bacteria removal performance is uniquely certified by Intertek, a global product testing and certification organization, among dishwashers in Korea.
Drying performance has also been significantly improved. In addition to the ‘Auto Door Open Drying’ function that automatically opens the door after washing to release internal moisture and circulate external air, metal shelves with higher heat capacity than plastic are applied to dry dishes faster and more thoroughly.
Furthermore, reflecting Korean eating habits and dishwashing customs, features such as the ‘Steam Soak’ option for pre-washing stuck rice and seasonings, a fast ‘Standard Wash’ course that completes rinsing and drying in about 55 minutes, and a ‘3-Tier Korean-Style Rack System’ that makes loading and washing various dishes easier have been applied.
The digital inverter motor installed in this new product comes with a 10-year free warranty.
The new Samsung dishwasher models are released in both ‘freestanding’ types that can be installed independently without space constraints and ‘built-in’ types that integrate seamlessly with sinks or kitchen furniture.
Colors are available in black and stainless steel. The retail price ranges from 1,190,000 to 1,290,000 KRW for the 12-place model and from 790,000 to 890,000 KRW for the 8-place model.
Yang Hyesoon, Executive Director of Samsung Electronics’ Home Appliance Business Division, said, “This new product is the result of long-term research into Korean eating habits and dishwashing customs,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen our position as the representative brand of Korean-style dishwashers.”
