'19 Years Since Debut' Celebrated by Rain, Surprise Reveal of His Look from 18 Years Ago... "So Grateful"

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Singer and actor Rain (real name Jung Ji-hoon) expressed his gratitude to fans on the occasion of his 19th debut anniversary.

On the 24th, Rain posted on his Instagram, "Thanks to you, it has been 19 years since I debuted under the name 'Rain.' I remember the very first broadcast we shared together."

He said, "April 24, 2002. Coming out of a small practice room, wearing the name 'Rain,' I wondered if I could really make my name known to many people. Would this first broadcast also be the last? I stayed up all night and performed my first stage," adding, "I managed to get that memory with difficulty. Today, I want to share it with you. From the first generation Cloud fan club to now, I am so thankful and love all our Cloud family," while posting a short video.

The released video shows a young-faced Rain saying before his first stage, "I'm nervous. Somehow, I have a good feeling."

Meanwhile, Rain debuted in the music industry in 2002 with "Bad Guy." He later married actress Kim Tae-hee and has two daughters.
