Korea Electrical Safety Corporation Collaborates with Private Companies to Develop New Technology for Power Outage Prevention

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Electrical Safety Corporation has partnered with a private company to smoothly carry out the government's 'National Infrastructure Intelligent Informatization Project.'

On the 17th, at the headquarters of JB Co., Ltd. located in Cheonan, Chungnam, the corporation's Power Equipment Inspection Department Head Hwang Seung-ui and JB Power Business Division Executive Director Woo Jae-hwa signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding for Mutual Cooperation in New Technology Development.'

The National Infrastructure Intelligent Informatization Project, led by the Ministry of Science and ICT, aims to achieve intelligent innovation by applying intelligent information technology to key national infrastructure.

JB is a district electricity business operator supplying electricity and heat to the Cheongsu and Cheongdang-dong areas in Cheonan. It was selected as a target for the National Infrastructure Intelligent Informatization Public Project and is cooperating with the corporation to promote this initiative.

This memorandum of understanding was signed to promote the development of intelligent information technology by the district electricity business operator to prevent equipment accidents and resulting power outages.

Both organizations promised to combine the corporation's electrical safety expertise with JB's equipment operation know-how to develop and disseminate new technologies in the electrical safety field and to cooperate for convenient electricity use by residents through stable power supply.
