[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Yoon Young-deok, the Democratic Party candidate for Gwangju Metropolitan City Dongnam-gap in the 21st National Assembly election, has secured the final first place.

Yoon Young-deok stated, "Choosing me is an indirect proof that there is great expectation for political innovation and development through young politics."

He continued, "I believe this is a solemn order to clear out the old politics of the past era and to practice fresh and clean politics embodying the new spirit of the times, as well as young politics that speaks up and works well. I promise to work together for a new 'pleasant change' in our region, which has experienced stagnation in development for over 20 years, to meet the expectations of the local residents."

He also emphasized, "It is necessary to have the mindset that a member of the National Assembly should first think of themselves as a member of the local community. I will create a constant communication channel with local councilors who practice grassroots politics affiliated with the party, always listening to the voices from the field."

Furthermore, he said, "I will strive to contribute even a little to completing the grand reform of our society and realizing the wishes of the candlelight citizens. Through the change of reforming the National Assembly, which has become part of the vested interest fortress, into a 'Candlelight National Assembly,' I will help build a strong foundation of sovereign power so that the Moon Jae-in administration can succeed."
