[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] In the 21st general election, Yoon Jae-gap, the candidate from the Democratic Party of Korea, was elected in the Jeonnam Haenam·Wando·Jindo electoral district.

Yoon Jae-gap, a former Navy Logistics Command commander, was elected on his third attempt following his independent candidacy in the 19th general election and his mid-term withdrawal in the 20th general election.

As an election pledge, he promised, "I will focus on measures to increase the stagnant population and actively implement projects to improve the environment for childbirth and childcare, such as 100-won taxis for children and pregnant women and attracting dedicated hospitals."

He also stated, "As a youth policy, I will supply rental housing and establish the nation's first youth overseas travel allowance."

Yoon Jae-gap said, "This election is a victory for the residents of Haenam, Wando, and Jindo," and pledged, "I will humbly accept the will of the residents to reclaim the lost four years and do my best to protect the Moon Jae-in administration, re-elect a Honam president, and build a new Haenam, Wando, and Jindo."
