[4·15 General Election] E Gae-ho Elected Representative: "I Will Repay with Citizen-Centered Politics"

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] In the 21st National Assembly election for the Jeonnam Damyang, Hampyeong, Yeonggwang, and Jangseong constituency, Lee Gaeho, the Democratic Party candidate, was elected with a final 83% of the vote.

Following were candidate Kim Seonwoo (10.7%) and candidate Kim Yeongwan (4.4%).

Lee Gaeho, the elected candidate, stated, "The opportunity to serve the region and the Republic of Korea once again is solely thanks to the support and backing from the residents throughout the entire election period."

He added, "I will earnestly uphold the will of the residents and promptly complete the projects I promised and have been pursuing for the development of our region and Honam. I will do my best to secure new growth engines for Damyang, Hampyeong, Yeonggwang, and Jangseong so that we can leap forward toward the future."

Furthermore, he said, "Through this election, the Democratic Party has received a solemn mandate to support the success of the Moon Jae-in administration and to definitely recreate the government, building a country worthy of its name and a true Republic of Korea for the people," promising, "I will fulfill this will with infinite responsibility."

Finally, he emphasized, "Always reflecting on my political conviction to uphold 'principles and righteousness,' I will focus solely on the residents and the people. I will become a 'righteous politician' and a 'hardworking, good member of the National Assembly.'"
