[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City will begin accepting applications for the ‘Emergency Management Stabilization Fund for Small Business Owners’ starting from the 20th.
The city announced on the 15th that it will provide the emergency management stabilization fund to small business owners with annual sales of 300 million KRW or less last year, who have business locations in Sejong as of the 2nd of this month.
The support fund will be paid in cash at 500,000 KRW. However, gambling businesses, entertainment establishments, and financial and insurance industries are excluded.
To prevent confusion during the application and reception process, the city will operate a dedicated website and accept applications via mobile devices. Additionally, ahead of the in-person application period from the 27th to the 13th of next month, the city will expand dedicated personnel and operate exclusive counters to facilitate applicants’ convenience while preparing for a surge in workload.
Both online and in-person applications will be conducted based on a five-day system according to the applicant’s birth year. Online applications can be submitted between the 20th and the 13th of next month. Applicants must access the city hall website on the designated day according to the last digit of their birth year and select ‘Emergency Management Stabilization Fund Application for Small Business Owners’ to apply.
Required documents include the application form, real-name verification, and a resident registration abstract to confirm the address. If the applicant submits the prior consent form for personal information and administrative information joint use, no additional documents proving small business ownership are required.
In-person applications can be made from the 27th to the 13th of next month by bringing an ID card to the resident center in the applicant’s jurisdiction.
The city plans to review the submitted applications and sequentially disburse the emergency management stabilization fund within 10 days from the date of receipt.
Lee Chun-hee, Mayor of Sejong City, stated, “We will promptly provide the emergency management stabilization fund to approximately 11,000 small business owners affected by COVID-19 to maximize the support effect.”
