[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) stated on the 15th, "We hope that the 21st National Assembly will become a 'working National Assembly' that effectively handles livelihood bills, a 'field-oriented National Assembly' that listens to voices from the ground, and a 'magnanimous National Assembly' that practices great politics with the people in mind."
In a commentary titled "Wishes for the 21st National Assembly" released on the same day, KCCI expressed, "The business community hopes that the 21st National Assembly will be a working National Assembly for 'national development and the happiness of the people,'" urging accordingly.
KCCI emphasized, "The responsibility of the 21st National Assembly is inevitably heavy at a time when the economy and livelihoods, which have been weakened by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis, need to be restored and new avenues for the Korean economy must be opened."
They added, "We hope that legislative activities will be carried out to restore economic dynamism and complete an advanced welfare state so that new opportunities can blossom."
