[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 15th that it will reduce the basic fee of Livem by 80% from April to May to alleviate the communication cost burden for students as online classes for elementary, middle, and high schools begin. In addition, like the three major mobile carriers, data charges will be waived when accessing educational sites such as EBS.
The support targets customers born between 2001 and 2013, including not only existing Livem subscribers but also students who complete Livem activation by the 29th. The relevant information will be notified to eligible customers via text message, and detailed information can be checked through the Livem mobile webpage.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We will do our best to reduce the communication cost burden of Livem amid the difficult social atmosphere caused by the ongoing COVID-19 virus and the implementation of online classes."
