Medical staff who have finished treating COVID-19 confirmed patients at Daegu Dongsan Hospital are moving to change shifts.
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] On the 15th, the Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that 27 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were confirmed. The total number of confirmed cases in the country has increased to 10,591.
By region, 5 new cases were confirmed in Seoul, 6 in Gyeonggi Province, totaling 11 in the metropolitan area, and 4 tested positive during quarantine. Additionally, 1 case was confirmed in Daegu, and 6 in North Gyeongsang Province. Furthermore, 2 new cases were reported in Gangwon Province, and 1 each in Busan, Gwangju, and Jeju.
Among the 27 new cases, 11 are presumed to be imported from overseas, while the rest are presumed to be infections within the local community. The total number of imported cases in the country has reached 955 as of this day, an increase of 15 from the previous day. Among the imported cases, 91.5% are Korean nationals.
The number of patients released from quarantine increased by 82, bringing the total to 7,616. The number of patients currently in isolation and receiving treatment decreased to 2,750. The number of patients who tested positive again after being released from isolation increased by 9 from the previous day, totaling 133.
