'Hi Bye, Mama' Kim Tae-hee Meets Her Mother... Breaks Down Crying Because of Lee Gyu-hyung, Loved by Go Bo-gyeol (Comprehensive)

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the afternoon of the 15th, tvN's 'Hi Bye, Mama!' depicted the scene where Cha Yuri (played by Kim Tae-hee) finally meets her mother Jeon Eun-sook (played by Kim Mi-kyung).
Earlier, Jo Gang-hwa (played by Lee Gyu-hyung), who was walking under an umbrella with Jang Pil-seung (played by Lee Si-woo), is surprised to see Cha Yuri and Oh Min-jung (played by Go Bo-gyeol) also sharing an umbrella on the opposite side. On the way back home with Oh Min-jung, Jo Gang-hwa asks, "How did you end up coming together?" When Oh Min-jung silently looks at him, he adds, "Well, you usually don't like talking to neighbors, but you were smiling and walking together."
Oh Min-jung reflects, "Did I smile? I guess so. Why was that?" then slightly smiles and recalls Cha Yuri's past. She says to Gang-hwa, "She's a bit of a strange person," and adds, "They say I'm kind. Isn't that weird?" Gang-hwa nods in agreement, saying, "Yeah. You are kind."
To Gang-hwa's agreement, Oh Min-jung replies, "That's enough. Don't give me empty compliments." Gang-hwa looks serious and asks, "Why do you think it's an empty compliment?" Then he says, "That person must have seen it too. That you're kind," shaking Oh Min-jung's heart. Oh Min-jung says, "Then that person should do it. After-school helper," and Gang-hwa agrees.
Gye Geun-sang (played by Oh Eui-sik), upon hearing that Yuri became Seo-woo's (Seo Woo-jin) academy helper, questions, "Don't you know what an academy helper is? What are you going to do now?" Jo Gang-hwa tries to avoid the crisis by saying, "Maybe I'll be dispatched to Sri Lanka." Hearing their conversation, Go Hyun-jung (played by Shin Dong-mi) mocks, "Will it be Asia? Go all the way to South Africa."
Then Jo Gang-hwa reveals that Yuri remarried and knows everything. Go Hyun-jung and Gye Geun-sang are surprised by this. Go Hyun-jung suspects, "Why do I feel like Yuri has known Min-jung for a long time?" Jo Gang-hwa, quietly listening, says he knows too and adds, "She told me to wait," while taking a sip of his drink.
Cha Yuri's father Cha Mu-pung (played by Park Soo-young) and younger sister Cha Yeon-ji (played by Kim Mi-soo), who come home holding the nutritional supplements Yuri left in front of the house, wonder who keeps leaving these things. Especially Cha Yeon-ji is very curious about how the family’s health conditions are accurately known and the corresponding health products are left. Meanwhile, mother Jeon Eun-sook silently recalls how Yuri worried about her health when she was alive.
Meanwhile, Jeon Eun-sook meets Gye Geun-sang's aunt (played by Lee Eun-jung) on the street. When the aunt approaches Jeon Eun-sook and says, "The dead child can't leave this world because he keeps thinking of his mother," Jeon Eun-sook asks, "What did you say?" The aunt says, "Because of the mother, he cries every day, and the energy in the house is stuck and won't be released. If you hold a memorial service, it will be completely resolved," offering a talisman.
Jeon Eun-sook gets angry, saying to the aunt, "You say all kinds of nonsense," when Mi-dong's wife (played by Yoon Sa-bong) approaches and slaps the aunt. Mi-dong's wife grabs the aunt's collar, saying, "What crying? Have you ever seen such a shameless person!" Then she yells, "You have nowhere to rely on, so you come here!!" and takes the talisman from the aunt's hand, revealing that she made it herself.
Realizing that Mi-dong's wife is the real one, the aunt briefly distracts and then runs away. After the aunt escapes, Mi-dong's wife mutters, "Crying my foot. She goes around just fine," but is caught by Jeon Eun-sook. When Jeon Eun-sook questions, "Goes around? My daughter? To the netherworld?" Mi-dong's wife stammers to clear up the misunderstanding, but Jeon Eun-sook says, "I've seen all kinds of nonsense in my life," and leaves.
At Go Hyun-jung's shop, Cha Yuri, who came with Mi-dong's wife, introduces her as a shaman. Go Hyun-jung is puzzled, saying, "But when did you meet this shaman? You hate superstitions." Cha Yuri is embarrassed and vaguely evades the question, saying she wants to eat stir-fried pork with mung bean sprouts. Go Hyun-jung says there are no mung bean sprouts and goes to the market. Meanwhile, overhearing the conversation between Cha Yuri and Mi-dong's wife, Go Hyun-jung learns that Cha Yuri must return after 49 days.
Jeon Eun-sook, while handling Cha Mu-pung's phone, finds a photo of Cha Mu-pung with Seo-woo and scolds him, asking if he took the photo while volunteering at Seo-woo's daycare. She says, "I told you not to hang around Seo-woo," and shouts, "I've told you many times that it's better for the child if we stay out of the way. Right now, the child thinks you're his mother. Just wait until the child finds out later." Cha Mu-pung complains, "Even looking at a toy reminds me, makes me want to buy it, and I miss him! What am I supposed to do?" Then Jeon Eun-sook cries bitterly, saying she misses him so much her heart breaks.
Go Hyun-jung tries to tell Jo Gang-hwa that Cha Yuri must return after 49 days, but Cha Yuri pleads with Go Hyun-jung, "Please look after me." Go Hyun-jung persuades her, "Is Min-jung more important now? You have to live!" However, Cha Yuri, tearfully, says, "Seo-woo is sick because of me," and cries, saying, "Jo Gang-hwa loves you!! Oh Min-jung." Then she says, "I just need Gang-hwa not to cry," leaving Go Hyun-jung deeply moved.
While Go Hyun-jung and Cha Yuri are hugging and comforting each other, Jeon Eun-sook passes by riding a bicycle. Seeing Go Hyun-jung and then the back of the crying Cha Yuri in front of her, Jeon Eun-sook suddenly falls. Struggling to get up, she slowly approaches the two, and at that moment, Cha Yuri looks up and meets Jeon Eun-sook's gaze.
tvN drama 'Hi Bye, Mama!' airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM.
