The 5th confirmed case in Geoje City is a 28-year-old male (born in 1992) residing in Okpo-dong. He moved from Daegu to Geoje on the 22nd and visited Jangseungpo Yaeije, Okpo-dong Lotte Mart, and Okpo 1-dong Community Center.
On the 6th, after receiving notification from the Buk-gu Public Health Center in Daegu that his father tested positive for COVID-19, he underwent specimen collection at a screening clinic and was confirmed positive following an epidemiological investigation.
After the test, he self-isolated at home without going out, and after confirmation, he was transferred to the negative pressure ward of Masan Medical Center and hospitalized. He is currently asymptomatic.
His residence was disinfected, and his movement and contacts are being traced, with contacts undergoing testing at screening clinics.
