[Asia Economy Reporter Shinwon Yoon] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon criticized former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk on the 2nd through social media regarding the recent outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), saying, "(Cho) Kuk, please stop already."

On the same day, Professor Jin shared Cho's Twitter post on his Facebook, stating, "Everything you (former Minister Cho) say ultimately reflects back on yourself, so (please stop)" and criticized, "I don't understand why you are doing this with any lingering attachment after ruining the entire progressive movement."

The Twitter post shared by Professor Jin included a message titled 'Appeal from Governor Choi Moon-soon' in which Governor Choi wrote that "Only controlling Shincheonji can suppress the large-scale spread of COVID-19, so aggressive intervention by judicial authorities is necessary."

In addition, former Minister Cho recently attracted attention by posting messages on social media supporting government measures such as those by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Blue House, as well as messages cheering for Daegu and Gyeongbuk, the regions with the highest number of COVID-19 confirmed cases.

It is interpreted that Professor Jin sent a message urging former Minister Cho to exercise restraint.
