[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] SF9, returning with their first full-length album, was chosen as the 'most anticipated January comeback idol,' drawing significant attention from netizens.


The participatory mobile idol app 'IDOLCHAMP' conducted a two-week vote starting from the 3rd of last month under the theme 'Who is the most anticipated January comeback idol?'.


Among rookie artists like VERIVERY, B.O.Y, and DreamNote who marked January, SF9 ranked first with a support rate of 48%.


Earlier, on the 7th of last month, SF9 released their first full-length album 'FIRST COLLECTION' after 3 years and 3 months since their debut in 2016.


This album sold over 70,000 copies in its initial sales, topping daily and weekly charts. Additionally, the title track 'Good Guy' set new personal records on various music charts.


The music video surpassed 10 million views within 4 days. In countries such as Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, and Hong Kong, it ranked first on the iTunes K-pop album charts.


Notably, SF9 achieved their first music show win 1,200 days after debut, fulfilling the 'music show first place' goal mentioned during their showcase.

Also, Chanhee, who appeared in the JTBC drama 'SKY Castle,' and Rowoon, who starred in the MBC drama 'Extraordinary You,' proved their status as 'trend idols' through their acting activities.


Meanwhile, SF9 is a nine-member boy group that debuted in 2016. Since then, they have promoted with songs like 'O Sole Mio,' 'MAMMA MIA,' and 'RPM.'
