[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Shin-won] Chef Choi Hyun-seok, recently embroiled in allegations of forging private documents, has shared his thoughts.
On the 22nd, SBS's 'Bon-gyeok Yeon-e Hanbam' aired an interview with Chef Choi Hyun-seok, who has recently been accused of participating in the forgery of private documents during his agency transfer process.
Choi Hyun-seok said, "I cannot speak about it now, but I will talk after I have prepared everything. I am preparing my response," adding, "It is really very difficult. I want to work quietly and focus on cooking. I will speak later."
Previously, in 2018, Choi Hyun-seok's phone was hacked by hackers. During that process, allegations arose that he forged private documents to terminate his contract with his former agency. It is claimed that he destroyed the existing contract and fabricated a new one to avoid paying penalties and terminate the contract.
In response, Choi Hyun-seok explained, "Only the agency staff actively participated; I only signed," and through an official statement said, "The situation was resolved amicably and is unrelated to my transfer to a new agency."
However, former agency officials denied this, stating, "Choi Hyun-seok took the lead in requesting to reorganize the deal for his agency transfer," fueling the controversy.
It is reported that this case has been sent to the prosecution and is currently under investigation.
