[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Son Tae-seok] Gyeongnam FC announced on the 7th that they have signed free agents Kim Ho-su (born 1998, FW) and Kim Young-han (born 1998, DF), who led Sungkyunkwan University to their first-ever championship at the 55th Spring College Football Federation Tournament in 2019.
During their time at Sungkyunkwan University, the two players were coached under head coach Seol Ki-hyeon and showed great performances. In their freshman year in 2017, they finished as runners-up at the 13th KBSN College Football Federation Tournament, and in 2018, they were runners-up at the 54th Spring College Football Federation Tournament. Last year, at the 55th Spring College Football Federation Tournament, they contributed to the team’s first-ever championship.
Kim Ho-su attended Suncheon Maesan Middle School and Jeonju Technical High School before entering Sungkyunkwan University. He is a versatile player capable of playing both as a wide midfielder and central midfielder, standing at 181cm and weighing 77kg with a solid physique, and is known for his excellent one-on-one ability against opposing defenders. He expressed, “I am honored to start my professional career with Gyeongnam, and I will contribute to helping Gyeongnam FC get promoted to the first division.”
Kim Young-han attended Seoul Sincheon Middle School and Kyunghee High School before enrolling at Sungkyunkwan University. Although he played as a wide defender in college, he is a resource who can be utilized as a wide attacker and is known for his speed using his left foot. He said, “I will strive to become a player loved by the fans” as his joining comment.
