30s American Man Arrested in Seattle for Venting Anger at Korean Americans with "I Hate Chinese" Remark

According to the report, Aaron Charles Lowe (30) attacked Korean tourists near a shopping center in Seattle's Emerald City on Christmas night, December 25 last year, and was arrested on charges of hate crime. The victims were tourists who came to Seattle from Korea, California, and Missouri in the United States.


According to a statement prepared by the police, the perpetrator chased Korean tourists he encountered in downtown Seattle, shouting "I hate Chinese people" and using abusive language. He also punched one of the victims in the back and struck another in the face with the back of his hand.


The victims testified to the police that when the stranger attacked and chased them, they hurriedly took refuge inside a nearby movie theater, but as soon as they left the theater again, he chased them while shouting and assaulted them. The man also caused a disturbance by stealing an umbrella and breaking a window in a valet parking area near a downtown Seattle hotel.


The local police arrested the suspect on charges of hate crime, intentional harassment, and property damage, setting bail at $15,000. The police stated that the man's recent residence was a homeless shelter in Seattle.
