Spotlight on Byungsoo Kim, CEO of JNS Co., Ltd.

On the very day he was recognized for his charitable contributions, a business leader made yet another generous donation, moving the local community with his warm-hearted actions.

The person in the spotlight is Byungsoo Kim, CEO of JNS Co., Ltd. (age 62).

On November 5, the same day he received a commendation from the Chilgok County Governor, Kim held a separate donation ceremony in the lobby of Chilgok County Office and presented a 'Link-Call,' an emergency call device exclusively for electric mobility aids, worth 5 million won. It was a meaningful day, marked by both recognition and giving.

The donated 'Link-Call' is a personal smart safety device that enables people with disabilities who use electric mobility aids to easily request help in emergency situations.

In particular, this device was developed with proprietary technology by Module Link, a venture company based in Chilgok County. The fact that Kim purchased and donated a product from a local company adds further significance to the spirit of mutual growth in the region.

Byungsoo Kim's spirit of sharing is deeply rooted in his personal life philosophy. Born in a remote mountain village in Uiseong, North Gyeongsang Province, Kim was unable to continue his studies due to poverty. Despite these hardships, he worked as a laborer for 30 years, saving enough money to establish JNS Co., Ltd. in 2015 at the Waegwan 2nd Industrial Complex in Chilgok.

Starting from a small factory, the company has now grown into a leading automotive parts manufacturer, recognized for its top-tier technology in hydroforming ERG bellows pipes, and records annual sales of 14 billion won.

Kim commented, "I received the award as encouragement to work even harder," adding, "I want to build a company that grows together with the local community, so that no child has to give up on their dreams because of poverty."

This is not the first time Kim has performed such good deeds.

Every year, he has consistently donated to the Hometown Love Fund, as well as providing scholarships and development funds to Naksan Elementary School.

Since last year, he has also participated in the Chilgok County trade delegation, actively contributing to the local economy by helping small and medium-sized enterprises in the region expand overseas.

Jaewook Kim, Chilgok County Governor, expressed his gratitude, saying, "Byungsoo Kim is a model entrepreneur who voluntarily fulfills the social responsibilities of a business. This donation, which utilizes products from a local company, will serve as an excellent example of mutual growth within the community."
