Woman in Her 70s Dies After Falling While Hiking at Baegundae, Bukhansan

Transported to Hospital in Cardiac Arrest,
But Pronounced Dead

A woman in her 70s died in a fall while hiking on Bukhansan.

On the afternoon of the 7th, rescue teams were rescuing a woman in her 70s who fell at the Baegundae summit of Bukhansan in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. Gyeonggi Northern Fire and Disaster Headquarters

According to the police and fire authorities on November 8, at around 2:15 p.m. the previous day, a 70-year-old woman, identified as Ms. A, fell to her death from a rock face while hiking at Baegundae on Bukhansan in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

The Dobongsan·Bukhansan Mountain Rescue Team and the Goyang Rescue Team in Gyeonggi Province were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report that someone appeared to have fallen between rocks while taking photos. However, when the rescue team arrived at the scene, Ms. A was already in cardiac arrest. The rescue team performed CPR and transported her to the hospital, but she was ultimately pronounced dead.

The police are investigating the exact circumstances and cause of the accident.
