Struck on the Head by Falling Debris While Removing Window Frames

At a villa remodeling site in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, the collapse of a balcony resulted in the death of a worker in his 50s who was outside the building and struck by falling debris.

At around 12:50 PM on the 8th, the balcony of a villa undergoing remodeling collapsed in Deokjin-gu, Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, resulting in the death of a worker in his 50s. Jeollabuk-do Fire Headquarters

On November 8, the Jeollabuk-do Fire Headquarters and other authorities reported that at approximately 12:50 PM, the balcony of a villa on the second floor in Deokjin-gu, Jeonju, collapsed. The falling structure struck the head of a worker in his 50s, referred to as Mr. A, who was assisting with the remodeling work outside the building. Mr. A suffered severe head injuries and was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest, but ultimately passed away.

Mr. A was removing window frames at the request of an acquaintance who runs a remodeling business. At the time of the accident, he was working on a ladder when the balcony above him collapsed, causing debris to fall on him. The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, including questioning those involved in the construction and the building owner.
