The livestock sector projects include various initiatives such as support for improving livestock product quality and production costs, establishing a stable foundation for livestock farming, supporting livestock manure treatment, and stabilizing the management of beekeeping farms.

The project to support production costs for improving the quality of livestock products will allocate 1.905 billion won (959 million won from the county budget and 946 million won from self-funding) to help reduce management costs for livestock farms and upgrade the quality of Korean beef. The support will cover forage for each stage of livestock rearing, moisture control agents, feed additives, and transportation costs for shipping Korean beef cattle.

The project to establish a stable foundation for livestock farming will use 625 million won (500 million won from the county budget and 125 million won from self-funding) to support livestock farming materials such as compound feed and solid feed. This aims to reduce management costs and improve productivity, thereby creating stable management conditions. Support will be provided according to the scale of livestock operations for farms registered for livestock farming (licensed) and beekeeping within the county.

The livestock manure treatment support project will invest 870 million won (522 million won from the county budget and 348 million won from self-funding). This project aims to reduce the labor burden on livestock farms and prevent environmental pollution by supporting proper manure treatment, facilities, and equipment. Seven farms will receive support, and the amount of support will vary depending on the type and number of livestock raised.

The county will also implement a project to stabilize the management of beekeeping farms. This project aims to stabilize the honey production base by supporting beekeeping farms facing difficulties due to climate change and the opening of agricultural and livestock product imports. A total of 110 million won (55 million won from the county budget and 55 million won from self-funding) will be allocated.

In addition, 350 million won will be invested to support the production of environmentally friendly livestock manure compost, about 132 million won for the promotion of the Gangwon beekeeping industry, and about 440 million won for livestock disaster prevention support.

Jung Ilseop, Director of Distribution and Livestock, stated, "We will enhance the sustainability of the livestock industry by focusing on environmentally friendly manure treatment and improving rearing environments," adding, "By supporting both disaster prevention and management stability, we will reduce the burden on farms and strengthen their competitiveness."

Meanwhile, the application centers for each project may differ, such as the town or township office or the Distribution and Livestock Division at the Agricultural Technology Center, so applicants must check before applying. Applications will be accepted until February 4.
