Sejong University President Eom Jonghwa Receives Special Contribution Award for Korean Contemporary Dance
Recognized for Contributions to the Advancement of Contemporary Dance
Sejong University announced on the 17th that President Eom Jonghwa received the "Special Contribution Award for Korean Contemporary Dance" from the Korea Contemporary Dance Association at the "2025 Night of Korean Contemporary Dancers & Sponsors (CODAKA AWARDS 2025)."

View original imageThe "Night of Korean Contemporary Dancers & Sponsors" was held at 7 p.m. on December 4 in the Grand Ballroom of the Ramada Hotel Sindorim in Seoul to recognize and encourage the efforts and achievements of dance artists who contributed to the development of contemporary dance in Korea over the past year.
Sejong University has long been dedicated to education and research for the advancement of dance arts, and has continuously supported the dance community by providing spaces where both domestic and international dance forms and creative works can be realized.
In addition, the university has provided an artistic environment that serves as an important foundation for dancers, choreographers, and educators and researchers to pursue a wide range of activities.
In recognition of these contributions, President Eom received the Special Contribution Award for Korean Contemporary Dance on behalf of all past presidents of Sejong University.

President Eom stated, "I will continue to do my best to ensure that dance arts can communicate with the world and create greater value," adding, "Sejong University will remain a steadfast partner for artists and continue to provide ongoing support."
