Pusan National University Announces 3,297 Early Admission Acceptances for 2026 Academic Year

Pusan National University (President Choi Jaewon) confirmed and announced the acceptance of 3,297 students for the 2026 academic year early admission on December 12.

Including the 122 students who were accepted through the Music, Korean Music, Dance, and Athletic Talent admissions tracks announced on November 18, a total of 3,419 students have been finally selected.

The number of successful applicants by admission type is as follows: 1,037 for the Student Record (Academic) Track, 493 for Local Talent, 133 for Rural Students, 671 for Comprehensive Student Record, 169 for Comprehensive Local Talent, 4 for Comprehensive Local Talent (Low-Income), 210 for Socially Disadvantaged, 91 for Low-Income, 11 for Specialized High School Graduates, 22 for Special Education Needs, 330 for Essay Track, 32 for Essay (Local Talent), 79 for Practical Skills, 8 for Practical Skills (Rural Students), 5 for Practical Skills (Low-Income), and 2 for Practical Skills (Specialized High School Graduates).

Pusan National University explained that for admission types with minimum academic requirements, candidates were selected in order of highest scores among those who met the criteria, and for admission types without minimum requirements, candidates were selected in order of highest scores in the relevant evaluation elements.

This year, the number of unfilled spots in the early admission was 36, resulting in a fill rate of 99.0% compared to the recruitment quota. This is a slight increase from last year's fill rate of 98.6%.

Successful early admission candidates must complete online document registration between December 15 and December 17. In addition, Pusan National University has released a list of both successful candidates and waitlisted candidates. Additional successful candidates, due to non-registration, will be announced in three rounds on December 18, 20, and 23.

The regular admission for Pusan National University will be held from December 29 to 31, 2025, with 843 students to be recruited for Group A, 704 for Group B, and 32 for Group C. The final number of regular admission spots, reflecting the transfer of unfilled early admission spots, will be announced on the Pusan National University admissions website on December 26, 2025.
