Seongnam City Breaks Ground on Jeongja-dong Snow Removal Vehicle Depot Sports Facility
Aiming for Completion by March Next Year

Seongnam City (Mayor Shin Sangjin) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the 'Jeongja-dong Snow Removal Vehicle Depot Sports Facility Construction Project' on the 11th at 5-1 Jeongja-dong, Bundang-gu (the site of the former snow removal vehicle depot).

Approximately 200 people attended the ceremony, including Seongnam Mayor Shin Sangjin, HD Hyundai Vice Chairman Cho Youngcheol, National Assembly member Kim Eunhye, and local residents. The event featured commemorative speeches and a groundbreaking event.

This sports facility development project was officially launched in May of the same year at the suggestion of HD Hyundai, following a mutual cooperation agreement signed between Seongnam City and HD Hyundai in March. As a public contribution project fully funded by HD Hyundai, the initiative will create new sports spaces for local residents in conjunction with the relocation of the snow removal vehicle depot.

The project site covers a total area of 9,659 square meters and will include a soccer field, two tennis courts, and various rest areas where citizens can relax and enjoy leisure activities. Upon completion, HD Hyundai plans to donate the facility to Seongnam City.

Seongnam City aims to expedite construction following the groundbreaking ceremony, with the goal of completing the project by March 2026.
