'KBS National Singing Contest: Pocheon City Edition' to Air on KBS 1TV on November 9

A Harmony of Song and Passion Resonates in Pocheon

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Younghyun), announced on November 7 that the 'KBS National Singing Contest: Pocheon City Edition' will be broadcast nationwide on KBS 1TV on November 9.

This episode features a public recording that took place on a special stage at the Pocheon Sports Complex in September, where more than 5,000 citizens and visitors participated, creating a vibrant and passionate atmosphere that received an enthusiastic response.

Sixteen teams that advanced through the preliminary rounds showcased unique songs and dances, while also introducing Pocheon's representative agricultural specialties such as grapes, apples, and papayas on stage, further promoting the region.

In addition, famous guest singers including Kim Yeonja, Hyunsook, Kim Yongbin, Yoon Taehwa, and Shin Sua appeared, presenting a rich and diverse lineup of performances.

Baek Younghyun, Mayor of Pocheon City, stated, "It was only possible to host the National Singing Contest in Pocheon again after six years thanks to the enthusiastic participation and passion of our citizens," adding, "I hope that through this broadcast, the warm community spirit and passion for cultural enjoyment in Pocheon will be widely shared with viewers across the country."
