Gwangju Transportation Corporation: "Free Subway Ride at Songjeong Station Market on the 12th"

Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmoon) announced on September 9 that it will host the '1913 Songjeong Station Market Usage Day' in Songjeong-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju on September 12, aiming to revitalize the local alleyway economy and promote the use of public transportation.

This event, held in conjunction with the 'Gwangju Songjeong Namdo Taste Festival, Dorandoran Cultural Night Market' organized by Gwangsan-gu, will take place over two days until September 13. A variety of programs will be offered, including a Kia Tigers cheering event, food booths, and performances by popular singers.

On the day of the event, the corporation will present customers who purchase goods worth 10,000 won or more at the 1913 Songjeong Station Market with a complimentary single-use subway ticket, valid until December 31.

Starting with this event, the corporation plans to sequentially organize 'Traditional Market Usage Days' at markets near subway stations, such as Yangdong Market in October and Namgwangju Market in November, to help restore livelihoods and promote green transportation options.

A representative from the corporation stated, "We expect this event to invigorate the local economy and contribute to the promotion of eco-friendly transportation," adding, "We ask for the keen interest and participation of citizens."
