Korean Intellectual Property Office Recruiting Participants for "Patent Attorney Practical Training Group Education"

The Korean Intellectual Property Office announced on September 9 that the International Intellectual Property Training Institute will be accepting applications for the "2025 Second Half Patent Attorney Practical Training Group Education" from September 17 to 23.


The group education program will be held from November 3 to December 4 at the International Intellectual Property Training Institute located in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, and is open to those who hold a lawyer's license. Applications can be submitted through the website of the International Intellectual Property Training Institute.


The curriculum consists of the following: basic courses such as professional ethics and interpretation of the Patent Attorney Act; practical courses on industrial property law required for patent attorney work; hands-on practice in filing industrial property rights applications; and practical courses on preparing documents for appeals and litigation related to industrial property rights.


In particular, this year's second half program will newly offer an elective course titled "Understanding Science and Technology," which must be completed by participants with a non-science and engineering background who hold a lawyer's license.
