The city has identified 18 home medical care benefit recipients through case management visits and meetings, and has been providing tailored services that cover all aspects of daily life, including medical care, caregiving, meals, and mobility support.
One elderly recipient who received the support said, "After being discharged from the hospital, my biggest concern was meals because I had no one to care for me, but thanks to this program, I gained courage and it has been a great help."
Lim Jaechun, Director of Welfare Planning, stated, "This agreement will greatly contribute to the health improvement and independent home living of medical benefit recipients. We will continue to do our best to ensure that people can maintain a dignified life in the community by actively identifying eligible recipients and expanding cooperation with partner organizations."
This agreement by Gimcheon City is noteworthy as it presents a new model for community care, going beyond simple meal support. This kind of seamless integration of medical care and welfare serves as an important example that can help shape the direction of local welfare policies.
