President Lee Jae-myung stated, "If we support Korean-style artificial intelligence (AI) in the Third World through official development assistance (ODA), it will be a win-win situation for everyone."

According to Presidential Spokesperson Kang Yoo-jung on September 8, President Lee made these remarks while presiding over the first meeting of the National AI Strategy Committee at Seoul Square in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the same day.

During the meeting, Cho Joon-hee, head of the Industrial AX Ecosystem Subcommittee, reportedly suggested that converting existing ODA projects into Korean-style AI dissemination projects could enable both recipient countries and South Korea to achieve shared growth.

In response, Spokesperson Kang conveyed that President Lee replied, "If we modernize ODA, it will be highly effective in pioneering global markets."
