Operating a Scholarship Program to Nurture Physician-Scientists

원본보기 아이콘On the 13th, Samsung Bioepis held an industry-academic cooperation agreement ceremony with Sungkyunkwan University Samsung Convergence Medical Science Institute at the Samsung Convergence Medical Science Institute Conference Room, Samsung Seoul Hospital Ilwon Station Campus, Ilwon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The ceremony was attended by Kim Kyung-ah, CEO of Samsung Bioepis; Yoo Ji-beom, President of Sungkyunkwan University; Park Seung-woo, Director of Samsung Seoul Hospital; and Jang Yoon-sil, Director of Samsung Convergence Medical Science Institute.
This industry-academic cooperation involves Samsung Bioepis operating a scholarship program to nurture physician-scientists. Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students who have systematically studied clinical design, and Samsung Bioepis plans to expand industry-academic cooperation activities in the future.
In addition to industry-academic cooperation for nurturing physician-scientists, Samsung Bioepis is conducting various industry-academic cooperation activities through research notebook competitions with major domestic universities. Through this, it aims to nurture talent who will lead the future bio industry early and provide opportunities to acquire global-level research and development know-how starting from universities.
Kim Kyung-ah, CEO of Samsung Bioepis, stated, "Through active industry-academic cooperation activities with domestic universities, we will strive to nurture professional personnel who will lead future industries early and contribute to South Korea becoming a bio-medical powerhouse. We plan to continuously expand industry-academic cooperation activities that leverage the characteristics of the bio-pharmaceutical industry."
