Gwangju Dong-gu "Apply for Customized 'Geumjjok Counseling' for Parents"
One-on-One Coaching for Caregivers
Gwangju Dong-gu (District Mayor Lim Taek) announced on the 3rd that it is recruiting participants on a first-come, first-served basis for the "Dong-gu Geumjjok Counseling," a customized parenting coaching program for parents.
Now in its second year, the "Dong-gu Geumjjok Counseling" project was established to create a positive parenting environment by having counseling experts diagnose parents' parenting concerns and provide effective solutions.
This year, the scope of participants, previously limited to parents, will be expanded to include child welfare facility workers.
Through this, one-on-one customized parenting coaching will be provided to caregivers, which is expected to have a positive impact on child development.
The recruitment period runs until September. Any parent raising a child under the age of 18 in Dong-gu or a child welfare facility worker can apply.
District Mayor Lim Taek stated, "We will strengthen support so that parents and child welfare facility workers can receive professional counseling and guidance for the healthy growth and development of children."
