Police Investigate 'Pilates Goddess' Yang Jung-won on Fraud Charges
Yang Jung-won Side: "Only a Promotional Model, Not an Insider"
Actress Yang Jeong-won (35), a former Pilates instructor, has been accused of fraud and violating the Franchise Business Act.
On the 1st, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that they are investigating Yang and officials from the Pilates academy headquarters following multiple complaints filed by victims alleging fraud and violations of the Franchise Business Act.
According to the police, the victims claim that Yang is a franchise owner of the Pilates academy where she served as the education director and promotional model. They allege that the headquarters failed to fulfill contractual promises such as directly hiring instructors to dispatch to franchise locations and sharing operational know-how.
Yang's side reportedly maintains that she was a promotional model, not an official representative of the headquarters.
