Goyang-si Samsong Library Operates 'Prism XYZ: Accidental Composition' Program

From Writing Personal Essays to Composing Music... Also Hosting a 'Mini Concert'

Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) Samsong Library announced on the 17th that it will operate "Prism XYZ: Accidental Composition" under the theme of "Turning Your Story into a Song."

The "Prism XYZ: Accidental Composition" program is Samsong Library's signature program, where all generations share their perspectives on a single theme and grow together.

Expanding on the "We Compose" program held in the first half of 2024, this program allows participants to write their own stories, compose music themselves, produce audio tracks, and hold a mini concert.

The course consists of six sessions and is conducted by CCM instructor Jeon Young-hoon.

It targets adults (8 people) and elementary school students in grades 5-6 (8 people), operating separately on Tuesdays and Saturdays, respectively.

The classes will begin on the 29th, and detailed information about the schedule can be found on the Goyang City Library website.

A Samsong Library official stated, "Through activities organically connected from writing to composition, we aim to support in-depth humanities activities for local residents," adding, "We will hold a mini concert at the Samsong Library's 10th anniversary event in December this year to create a communication space among local residents."

Applications for the program can be made through the Goyang City Library website starting at 10 a.m. on the 18th, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
