Jeju International Airport, which experienced disruptions in its ticket issuance system due to a Microsoft (MS) cloud-related information technology (IT) outage, has been fully restored.
According to Jeju Airport and airlines on the 20th, the ticket reservation and issuance systems of Jeju Air and Eastar Jet have been restored, allowing normal check-in procedures to resume from the morning.
Although some flights experienced delays, most operated normally.
Jeju Air and Eastar Jet encountered errors in their ticket reservation and issuance systems due to the MS cloud outage, leading them to issue tickets manually on the afternoon of the previous day. The manual issuance process took considerable time, causing sequential flight delays.
Both airlines operated a total of seven flights (based on departures) during the early morning hours of that day, a time when flights are usually not scheduled.
