Jilseong Kim, Jung-gu Mayor, Conducts Safety Inspection of Children's Kids Cafe 'Norimongttang' Facilities
Jung-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Gil-seong) conducted a safety inspection of the facilities together with the ‘Norimongttang Supporters’ composed of parents and experts ahead of the opening of the Seoul-style kids cafe ‘Norimongttang’ Jungnim Branch and the Jung-gu Toy Library on the 15th.
Participating in the ‘Norimongttang Facility Safety Inspection’ were Mayor Kim Gil-seong of Jung-gu, 18 Norimongttang Supporters, 6 daycare center directors, architects, and child play facility experts, who directly examined risk factors from the perspectives of both parents and professionals.
Choi Teresa (Pildong, 41), who attended as a supporter, said, “It is reassuring to be able to check the facility safety directly. Compared to private kids cafes, it is definitely better secured in terms of safety.”
In addition, parents carefully shared their opinions without omission, such as “Installing trampolines instead of ball pits will not only help improve children’s large muscle development but also be better for hygiene,” and “The power outlet cords are exposed outside, posing a risk of children pulling on them.”
‘Norimongttang Jungnim Branch (16, Seosomun-ro 6-gil)’ will open on the 23rd. Operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Tuesday through Sunday, with entry divided into three sessions daily. Reservations can be made in advance through the Seoul Our Neighborhood Care Portal, and preschool children and their guardians can use the facility together.
