Korea’s famed TV producers Pyo Min-soo and Kim Tae-hoon will be teaming up for the long-awaited sequel to “IRIS.”
The show’s production company Taewon Entertainment said in a press release Monday that Pyo and Kim have signed on to direct “IRIS 2,” which is set to hit the airwaves in the first half of 2013.
In the meantime, Kim is well-known for directing the action-packed drama “Athena : Goddess of War” (SBS, 2010-2011), the spin-off to “IRIS.”
While Pyo takes on the melodramatic parts in the upcoming project, Kim will be in charge of action scenes to balance different genres, the officials explained in the statement.
The Star-packed series will begin its shooting in October.
