Shinhwa to Celebrate 14th Anniversary with New DVD

Shinhwa, one of the veteran Korean idol bands, is dropping a documentary DVD celebrating their 14th debut anniversary next week.

The “Venus” singers’ new DVD, dubbed “SHINHWA 14th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL DVD <THE RETURN>,” will hit the shelves on October 30, Shinhwa Company said in a statement Friday.The video album, which has already scored 20,000 pre-ordered copies, is a special documentary featuring the six members' effort made to return to the local music scene in four years earlier this year.

On March 24, their 14th debut anniversary, Shinwa dropped the 10th full-length album “THE RETURN” and opened a comeback concert of the same name.

“We made the DVD for Shinhwa fans who always wait and support the group with patience. The disc will be meaningful since it carries Shinhwa members' personal lives backstage,” an official from the company was quoted as saying.Narrated by member Kim Dong-wan’s gentle voice, the record also includes individual cuts from the music video for “Venus,” the title track of the 10th album, and behind-the-scenes taped on the set, the official added.

The all-around entertainers, who have been hosting jTBC’s variety show “Shinhwa Broadcasting” since March, will please their die-hard fans again with the Seoul concert’ DVD “2012 SHINHWA GRAND TOUR IN SEOUL <THE RETURN>” due out in December.
