A festival that will feature the works starring Korean actor Kim Nam-gil will take place in Japan next month.

According to the event's promoter, SPO, a tribute event dedicated to actor Kim will be opening at Japan's Cine Mark in Roppongi for three weeks starting June 2. Kim's dramas including MBC's "Queen Seon-deok" and SBS' "Bad Boy" will be shown at the event, which is being held even before the star gets discharged from his two-year mandatory military service on July 15.

His other works including films "Portrait of a Beauty," "No Regret," "Modern Boy," "Lovers Vanished" and "Public Enemy Returns" will also be screened during the festival.

Making his debut in 2003, Kim has appeared in several notable dramas such as "Be Strong Geum Soon" (MBC, 2005), "Goodbye Solo" (KBS2, 2006) and "Lovers" (SBS, 2006). He became a household name after playing the role of Bidam in "Queen Seon-deok" opposite top Korean actress Ko Hyun-jung.
