Top Korean boy band Big Bang's latest album has reached double platinum in Taiwan.

Big Bang's new record came after moving over 20,000 copies of their fifth-mini album "ALIVE" in Taiwan, their local promoter Warner Music Taiwan said in a release. According to Warner Music, artists who sell over 10,000 copies for an album is granted with a platinum status, while those who scores 20,000 copies of an album's sales receive a double platinum.

The news comes as no surprise as "ALIVE" has been the best-selling K-pop album of the week upon its release on March 23, based on the country's major music charts-- G-MUSIC and FIVE MUSIC.

"Their fifth-mini album 'ALIVE' is running out of stock right now. It's amazing to see such a feat since they have yet to promote themselves in the country," an official with Warner Music Taiwan said in the statement. In the meantime, Big Bang is scheduled to visit the country for two days starting April 9 to promote the album and meet with the local media outlets for a press conference.

Big Bang -- composed of members G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri -- has been performing "BLUE," "BAD BOY," "NO FUN" and "FANTASTIC BABY" on various televised music programs in Korea.
