Singer Tablo's father passes away

Hip-hop artist Tablo's father has passed away due to a chronic illness.

On Monday, a rep with his agency YG Entertainment told 10Asia over the phone that Tablo's father passed away from a chronic ailment at a hospital in Seoul on March 26. The official said that Tablo and his wife Kang Hye-jung are currently at the hospital and that his coffin will be borne out on Wednesday.

Tablo made his debut in 2003 as part of the popular hip-hop trio Epik High. He then took a break from his activities after speculation arose regarding his educational background from the prestigious Stanford University.
