K-pop idol Ga-in of group Brown Eyed Girls has signed a contract with Loen Entertainment to pursue her solo career, according to the agency.

On Wednesday, an official with Loen told 10Asia that Ga-in has signed with the agency and that she will begin her solo singing and acting career. "She will still continue with her group activities under her current firm, Nega Networks, which is a collaborative label with Loen. We work together to manage our artists and music distributions."

The official went onto explain that the contract will not affect her group activities and that Loen will be in charge of producing her solo albums. "So far, nothing has been finalized on the format or when the album will be released."

Having made her debut in 2006 as one of the main vocalists in Brown Eyed Girls, Ga-in released her first solo album "step 2/4" and promoted its title track "Irreversible" which topped various online and offline music charts since its release on October 8.As a group, Brown Eyed Girls is currently taking a break from their singing activities after releasing their fourth full-length album "Sixth Sense."
