Korean boy band U-Kiss member Dongho has suffered an injury to his knee, according to his agency NH Media on Wednesday.

The pop idol injured himself while practicing his choreography with his bandmates in Osaka, Japan over the weekend and was rushed to the hospital for a thorough checkup. Doctors advised Dongho to wear a cast for the time being after confirming that he injured the cartilage in his knee.

However, Dongho joined his group on stage in a chair for their performance at the fireworks ceremony held in Harajuku of Japan on August 6.

"As of right, we have cancelled Dongho's upcoming schedule and activities," an official from NH told 10Asia over the phone. "We hope that he fully recovers in time for U-Kiss' comeback next month." U-Kiss (Ubiquitous Korean International Super Star) made their debut with single album "New Generation" in September 2008. They have produced a number of hit songs including "Shut Up," "Manmanhani," and "Round and Round."

The boys, who made their official debut in the country early last month, will release album "Bran New Kiss" in Japan along with a DVD featuring a video of the daily lives of the members on August 24, while their Japanese single will go on sale in December.

U-Kiss is scheduled to make their local comeback with their second full-length album next month and will hold their fan meeting in the country on September 4.
