Korean film “Come Rain, Come Shine” has recently been sold to Japan, according to a report by a U.K. film magazine.

“Screen International,” a film magazine based in U.K., revealed that Korean film “Come Rain, Come Shine” (2011) helmed by Lee Yoon-ki has been sold to Japan's Pony Canyon which had purchased Korean film “A Bittersweet Life” (2005) directed by Kim Jee-woon. The contract was sealed at the film market (Le Marche du Film) in Cannes, Europe’s biggest film market which opened on Wednesday alongside the ongoing 64th Cannes Film Festival which will be held from May 11 to 22 this year.

Starring Korean heartthrob actor Hyun Bin and actress Lim Soo-jung, the film focuses on emotional changes a couple goes through ahead of a separation with Lim playing the wife who declares she is leaving for another man and Hyun Bin, the quietly acquiescing husband.

“Come Rain, Come Shine” was invited to the 61st Berlin International Film Festival held in Germany to be screened under the competition category in February this year.The film also went to the 35th annual Hong Kong International Film Festival along with nine other local films, held in late March.
