Girl group After School will release a new record for the first time in a year later this month, their agency Pledis Entertainment said on Wednesday.

A press release by Pledis stated today that the nine-member group will release an album at the end of April which is set to be the girls' first full-length release since their debut in early 2009. This will also be After School's first album in over a year -- their last record was "Bang!," a single album which went on sale in late March of last year.

The title track to the girls' upcoming release will be a collaboration between poet Won Tae-yeon who wrote the lyrics for popular song "That Man," the soundtrack to smash hit drama "Secret Garden," and Daishi Dance, composer to boy band Big Bang's song "Haru Haru."

After School has released several albums since their debut including their first mini-album "New Schoolgirl," second mini-album "Because of You," third mini-album "Bang!" and Christmas album “HAPPY PLEDIS The 1st Album.” The group is composed of leader Kahi and members Juyeon, Bekah, Nana, Yi Young, Jungah, U-ie, Raina and Lizzy.
