miss A and Taeyang score win on Gaon charts


New girl group miss A and Big Bang member Taeyang both scored their first win on Gaon's music charts during the week of July 4 to 10.

According to data released by Gaon on Thursday, the girl band made an 18-spot leap to No. 1 with their debut song "Bad Girl Good Girl," pushing former winner MC Mong down the chart. miss A, composed of Chinese members Fei and Jia, and Koreans Suzy and Min, made their debut in Korea on July 1. They have been dominating numerous music charts with the title track "Bad Girl Good Girl" from their single album "Bad But Good."

Rounding out the top three singles was previous winner "Hurts Like Death" by Korean rapper MC Mong featuring Mellow in second place and Jo Kwon's latest single "The Day I Confessed My Love" which maintained its position at No. 3.

Meanwhile, Taeyang's first studio release "Solar" topped Gaon's album chart during the second week of July.Super Junior's fourth repackaged album "BONAMANA" dropped a notch to No. 2, while Brown Eyed Girl member Narsha's first solo single "NARSHA" made its debut on the chart in third place.
